SIDE TABLE, 2026

Continuing the same DNA as the shelving system, TUZLUK SIDE TABLE is also inspired by the familiar geometry of the paper fortune teller.
The project translates this playful mechanism into a side table composed of precisely cut and folded metal sheets. Through a careful interplay of cuts, negative and positive surfaces, the design unfolds in space, creating shifting compositions of planes and volumes that evolve depending on the viewer’s perspective.

Crafted from a single sheet of stainless steel, the table is laser-cut and then pressed into form. With no additional materials or structural elements, it stands as a study in restraint, where cutting and folding alone define both function and presence.
The brushed metal surface captures and diffuses light softly, while the intersecting planes create a dynamic dialogue between positive and negative space.
An exploration of how far a single sheet can go, shaped as if it were paper.
